Have I really been in school for nearly two years?? Yeah, I guess so. It feels pretty surreal to be wrapping up this part of the journey, but I'm excited to move forward and grow my business. I finished up work with Guest Directors a few weeks ago, which was super fun! They came in looking for a more personal touch with recording their vocals and so we set to work getting some awesome performances from Gary and Julie. I'll post the finished product with their permission once they're all wrapped up with mixing and mastering. I used my newly acquired Slate Digital VMS mic modeling system for their vocal takes and am quite smitten with it! The various tones available at the switch of a button is really amazing and being able to change a mic AFTER recording is really just mindblowingly cool. I can guarantee I'll be using it on pretty much all of my personal recordings for the foreseeable future!
